This painting comes from a selfie of mine (on the left) wearing an orange mascara before going out to go grocery shopping.

The name of the painting is a tribute to Ada Lovelace, who was called the “Enchantress of Numbers” by her fellow mathematician and philosopher friend, Charles Babbage, who wrote:

“FORGET THIS WORLD AND ALL ITS TROUBLES AND IF POSSIBLE ITS MULTITUDINOUS CHARLATANS, EVERYTHING IN SHORT BUT THE ENCHANTRESS OF NUMBERS.”

“Enchantress of Numbers” shown in studio with terracotta pot and stone fragment.
